Jimena Navarrete in red gown appeared charming on the red carpet at Crowne Plaza Hotel on September 14, 2010 in Mexico City, Mexico. Other attendees at the Miss Universe 2010 Gala Night at Crowne Plaza Hotel consisted of Winner of Miss International 2009 Anagabriela Espinoza Marroquin, Miss World 2007 Carolina Moran, Miss International 2008, Lorenza Bernot Krauze, Erika Lizeth Honstein Miss Mundo 2003, Miss Mundo 2010 Anabel Solis, Rosalba Luna, and Miss World pageant Perla Beltran.

This 22-year-old beauty pageant titleholder was named Miss Universe 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. on August 23, 2010. Jimena Navarrete is a nature enthusiast from Guadalajara. She revealed earlier in the competition that she wanted to work with women who suffer from eating disorders. The 5-foot-nine-brunette said that when people feel good inside they look good. Miss Mexico did not encounter any problem answering a question about the perils of the Internet for the children.






Twenty-two-year-old Mexican Jimena Navarrete was declared the most beautiful woman in the universe.






Miss Mexico said at a press conference that she had dedicated her crown things to do in mandalay Mexico and to all who had believed in her.






Mexico is very proud of having two to take the crown, Lupita Jones in 1991 and Jimena Navarrete in 2010.






Navarrete was awared $80,000 prize by the Mexican government.






Jimena Navarrete became the second Mexican to take the crown.






Lupita Jones became the first Universal Queen from the U.S's southern neighbor in 1991.






"The biggest contribution I want to make is to show everybody my beautiful and beloved Mexico, my country and my people," Navarrete said.






The Miss Universe 2010, the 59th edition of the pageant, was hosted by rock musician Bret Michaels and TV news personality Natalie Morales.






Lupita Jones hosted the gala.

Rosalba Luna was placed in the semi-finals in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant as 14th position.






Anabel Solis is expected to represent her country in the 60th international Miss World pageant in People\'s Republic of China
